North East
Velenkai
Velenkai is cold, mountainous in the north, and heavily industrialised in the south. It is also the epicentre of the Fractureborn movement's territorial ambitions. Following Kaelen Veris's political ascent, governance fractured into competing Directorate structures — a Western and Eastern UVD — with the Kethara Basin States caught in between and Graven Shore resisting absorption from the coast.
The continent's unmarked interior — officially denied by the state — contains northern mountain laboratories and indigenous tribal territories that predate modern field-era governance. Some of the oldest surviving knowledge of pre-psionic Nirah persists here, largely ignored by the powers contesting the south.
Current Political Status
Unstable. The United Velenkai Directorate is split east-west. Martial law in effect across much of the interior. Civilian displacement is severe.
Nations & Territories
Semi-Autonomous Zone
Ruunfall Territories
A semi-autonomous zone in the transitional region between the industrial south and the mountainous interior. Governance and alignment remain contested.
Territorial Authority
Silent Crest Authority
A governing entity occupying the mountainous northern reaches. Formally claims territory, though its relationship to the Directorates is unclear.
Directorate (Fractureborn-aligned)
Western United Velenkai Directorate
One of two Directorate governance structures consolidated under Fractureborn influence. Controls industrial output corridors and western population centres.
Directorate (Fractureborn-aligned)
Eastern United Velenkai Directorate
The counterpart to the Western UVD. Positioned closer to the mountains and unregulated northern laboratories. Relations between the two Directorates are adversarial.
Loose Settlement Cluster
Kethara Basin States
A loose cluster of semi-autonomous industrial settlements in southern Velenkai. Currently contested between the two Directorates.
Contested Coastal Territory
Graven Shore
A narrow coastal strip port-dependent and culturally distinct from the interior. Nominally claimed by the Eastern UVD but resistant in practice.
