Norrath

Norrath occupies the cold northern reaches of Nor Sereen, where long winters and sparse population have forged a culture of self-reliance that owes more to necessity than ideology. Its people are largely concentrated around the deep mining corridors that cut into the continent's interior — communities built around extraction, maintenance, and survival rather than trade or diplomacy.

The nation holds significant veins of rare metals but lacks the industrial infrastructure to process them domestically. Almost everything Norrath pulls from the ground leaves as raw material, primarily destined for Vel Thorn's manufacturing districts. This dependency is an open wound in Norrathi political culture — widely resented, rarely addressed.

Fiercely independent in temperament, Norrath engages with international affairs only when it must. Its relationship with the southern nation of Solvane is functional but cool: shared geography, shared continent, little else.
