Osren

Osren occupies a position in western Dravarn that is defined entirely by what moves through it. Transit fees and trade facilitation are not supplementary to Osren's economy — they are its economy. The nation produces little of independent value; its value is its location on key rail and road corridors, and its willingness to process that location into revenue without asking too many questions.

Politically cautious to a fault, Osren projects neutrality in public while maintaining the kind of quiet relationships that facilitate the movement of goods and people that other nations' governments prefer not to formally acknowledge. Its reputation for corruption is not incidental to this — it is, for many of its clients, a feature. A government that can be quietly accommodated is more useful than one that insists on transparency.

Osren has no ideological commitments in the current conflict and is unlikely to develop any. Its interest is in keeping the roads open.
